Hi Marmoset. Thanks for sharing your discoveries with us. If you don't mind I'll add your blog to my list of links. I shall be looking forward to your next post.
With pleasure, Sebastien. Likewise, I've added a link to your blog here. I'm not being very methodical about the faded signs - I've got this little project of cycling every cyclable road in an ever-widening radius from Deptford. If I see a sign, I try to remember it and then take a camera with me when I'm next visiting the area. And then, of course, I notice another one on my doorstep that I stopped seeing years ago.
With British politicians always looking towards the US for solutions, how long will it be before you have to give up cycling... http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2010/jun/18/black-hawk-colorado-bans-cyclists Have a nice weekend.
Yes, I saw that story. Frightening. But it's been improving since the 80s, when cyclists were designed out of the road network. And a lot of the newest bikes on London's streets were bought via the cycle2work scheme, funded by the government.
Meanwhile, it's a good way of spotting faded signs....
